Here you can find helpful information about the
city's trash removal and recycling program. If you have

Spring Clean Up - April 14th through
April 28th
Items other than household garbage including brush,
limbs, furniture, appliances, etc. will be removed by
city crews. Remodeling materials weighing less
than 1/2 ton or smaller than one pick up truck load.
Doors must be removed from refrigerators.
Compressors must be removed from air conditioners and
refrigerators. The city cannot pick up batteries,
motor oil, tires or any other hazardous materials.

Trash Pickup Information
The City of Desloge provides
residential waste and recycling collection as a free
service to all residents.
Trash is picked up from all households
in Desloge once each week. Monday pickup is in the area
primarily east of School Street to US 67. Tuesday pickup
is primarily in the area west of School Street to
Parkside Street. Wednesday pickup is in the
extreme western sections of Desloge, extreme eastern
section of Desloge, and the area north of Desloge Drive.
Thursday pickup is for multi-family residential
dumpsters. Recycling bins are picked up at the
same time as the trash.
Holidays
Whenever a holiday (listed below)
falls on your trash day, the pickup will be the
following day. All normal collections will occur one day
later than normal.

- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving Day & the Friday after
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Spring & Fall Cleanup
The City of Desloge provides a twice
annual bulk pickup as a free service to all residents.
Spring cleanup is the 2nd and 3rd weeks of April, while
Fall Cleanup is the 2nd and 3rd week of October.
Items that the city will not collect during cleanup
weeks include automotive batteries, construction waste,
motor oil, and tires.
Recycling Bins
The City of Desloge provides recycling
service for the following items: corrugated cardboard,
junk mail, phonebooks, office paper, newsprint,
magazines, PET #1 bottles, other PET #1 plastic, HDPE #2
bottles, other HDPE #2 plastic, #4 plastic, aluminum
cans, steel cans, scrap metal, and
textiles.
