Internet Access - 6 stations
Internet users will be given a copy of the library’s
Internet Access Policy and will be required to read and
sign a Internet Access Agreement. (Users under the age
of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign on their
behalf. Users 10 to 17 may use the Internet
unaccompanied with permission from their parent or
guardian.)
Computer Printouts: 25˘ per page
black & white; 50˘ per page color
Fax Service: To send, $1.00 for the
first page and 25˘ for each additional page; 25˘ per
page to receive faxes

holdings.
LIBRARY PROCEDURES

Residents of Desloge five years
and older, who live within the city limits, will be
issued a library card at no charge.
-
Persons living outside of the
city limits will be charged $5.00 per family per year.

Patrons under the age of 18 must
have signed parent/guardian permission.
-
Persons 55 and older, regardless
of residency, will not be charged a fee.
-
Any student attending a North
County School will not be charged a fee.
REGISTRATION:
-
New Patrons must present proof of
residency—a valid driver’s license with current
address or current phone, and a utility, or rent
receipt with name, address, and date. There will be a
limit of two items per person for first-time patrons.
All cards expire after one year and must be renewed
and any applicable fees paid before patrons are able
to borrow materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF BORROWERS:

The borrower is responsible for
the care and on time return of materials that he or
she has borrowed.

Parents are responsible for the
materials that their children have borrowed until the
children reach the age of 18.

If materials are lost, damaged,
or destroyed beyond repair, the patron is responsible
for paying the current replacement cost of materials.
-
If material is overdue, patrons
must return the overdue material before they will be
allowed to check out more materials.
-
If the replacement cost exceeds
$15, all library privileges will be suspended.
LIBRARY MATERIALS
The library has the following loan
periods for its materials:
Adult/Children’s’
Books: 2 weeks
Audiobooks: 2
weeks
Magazines: 3
days
Reference Books:
In-library use only
Materials that are not on reserve
or overdue may be renewed one time over the phone.
RESERVES
Patrons may ask that a new arrival or currently
loaned book or audiobook be reserved for them.
These items will be held for 3 days
at the desk, after notification by phone. If not called
for by the end of the third day the material will be
given to the next person on the reserve list. Reserved
materials will not be renewed.
For our patrons’ convenience a book
return bin for returning books, audiobooks, and
magazines, before or after library hours, is located at
the Oak Street entrance.
BOOK DONATIONS
The library accepts donations of books in good
condition; those not needed in the library collection
will be offered for sale.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Summer reading programs for Preschool-8th grade are
held annually in July. |
